memphis bbq network CHAMPIONSHIP & PATIO BBQ COMPETITIONS

patio division

Anyone is eligible to compete in the Patio Division. You must enter 2 categories to reserve a cooking site, and only 1 entry per category. You MUST cook all 3 meat categories to be eligible for Patio Grand Champion. Categories are as follows: Pulled Pork, Pork Loin, and Ribs and competition is done solely on blind judging.

championship division

Championship teams accumulate points and are eligible to enter into the Memphis BBQ Network invitational if they win the Que on the Yazoo competition. Championship teams also require an on-site visit during the competition.Categories are as follows: Whole Hog, Pulled Pork, and Ribs. 

ANYTHING BUT division

Open to all patio and championship teams. Multiple entries are allowed. Categories include: Sauce, Baked Beans, Best Cocktail (Cathead Vodka provided), Catfish (3-5 oz. Catfish fillets provided), Chicken and Beef.

DELTA BBQ BRAWL

Que on the Yazoo is part of the Delta BBQ Brawl and will join Boyle’s Peavine Festival, Delta State University Pig Pickin’ in Cleveland, the Great Ruleville Roast in Ruleville, and Cleveland Octoberfest / Mississippi Delta State Barbecue Championship, also in Cleveland. Teams participating in these individual events who want to be part of the Delta BBQ Brawl must compete in at least three of the four events. Scores will be tallied from the highest cumulative score from their top three entries. Teams will enter each contest separately, but those that compete in at least three of the contests will be automatically entered in the Delta BBQ Brawl with no additional fee. Sponsors and prize money continue to grow each year, and at least $10,000 will go to the Championship team, and $3,000 to the Patio team. For more information, visit Delta BBQ Brawl's Facebook page.
