Join Main Street Greenwood and the Leflore County Humane Society as we welcome our four-legged friends to downtown Greenwood! The Annual Pet Pawrade will begin at the intersection of Front Street and Howard Street on Saturday, May 4 at 9 AM. Contestants and owners will parade up Howard Street and back to the stage. There will be a prize for the best costume! This year's theme is: "The Year of the Pig" . All dogs must have a collar and be on a leash. No chains or ropes will be allowed. They must at all times be on a leash and under control.
No females in season are allowed.
No wolf hybrids or pit bulls allowed.
Only persons registered may participate in the contests and win prizes. All dogs must show proof of rabies tag if over 4 months old.
All participants will receive a certificate and medal (one to a family). Parade starts south down Howard Street and turns around at Church Street and proceeds north ending at the parking lot.
Around 10:00 the contest will begin in front of the stage on Front Street
There will be prizes for costumes and prizes for best canine characteristics. Fun for all!!!!!
